On the 25th October 2018, Snettisham 45 had a huge honour bestowed on it by the RBL because of their high regard of our project and our community.

Every year the RBL launch their annual Poppy Appeal in Downing Street, symbolically selling the first poppy to the Prime Minister in front of the nation’s press.

This year, the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice’s First Poppy was sold to the Prime Minister by our very own Poppy (on the right of the photo). Poppy is an immediate descendant of brothers Charlie and Gus Mitchell of the 45 and was named in their honour.
